The library has tax forms available to the public along with tax preparation assistance sponsored by AARP.
An AARP team of volunteers will be at the Wetumpka Public Library every Wednesday and Friday beginning February from 9:00 a.m.-2.00 p.m. during tax season. Please bring with you your photo ID, your social security card, current year’s tax forms and booklet (some forms available at the library), a copy of last year’s income tax return, W-2 and W-2p forms from each employer if you earned a salary, unemployment compensation statements, SSA-1099 form if you were paid Social Security benefits, all 1099 forms showing interest and /or dividends as well as documentation showing the original purchase price of your sold assets, 1099R forms from the payer of your pension or annuity, all forms indicating federal income tax paid, child care provider information (name, employer ID, Social Security number), all receipts or canceled checks if itemizing deductions, and Social Security numbers for all dependents.
Please bring proof of health insurance.
