2008 Race Format

The Attack on Swayback is a NORBA-sanctioned race (Permit #???), and a NORBA license is required for 'Expert/Pro' riders only and will be available on race day if needed. NORBA no longer requires 'Beginner' and 'Sport' classes to buy a one day license!

Official course is subject to change, but is likely to be similiar to the 2007 course, consisting of rolling single track through dense forest with a fair amount of roots and rocks. The course will be marked in advance of the race to allow pre-riding. Expect an approximate 10 mile loop with beginners completing one lap, Sport riders completing two laps, and Expert/Pro riders completing three laps.

Classes will be divided into the following age groups.

Race day registration time: Registration will begin at 7:00 a.m. Please allow plenty of time prior to your class start for the registration process.

Location

The race will be held at the Swayback Bridge Trail just north of Wetumpka, Alabama. From Wetumpka, take US 231 north to Wallsboro. Turn left on Old Hwy. 231. There will a brown sign there that directs you to the Swayback Bridge Trail. Travel approximately 2.5 miles and then turn left towards Jordan Dam. Parking will be on the left side of the road.
