Gold Star Park is located directly behind City Hall on the corner of Ready and Wharf Streets.

     Many changes have taken place in Gold Star Park. A scenic River Walk now meanders through Gold Star Park. The Concrete walkway is lighted and decorated with flowering baskets. Park style benches, and trash recepticles have been added at locations along the River Walk.  

     A complete playground facility has been added to the park. the playground features 40 different events, and can accomodate  up to 120 children.  

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          

 A scenic overlook has been constructed on the bank of the Coosa River, covering some 1700 sq. ft. 



     Various events are held in Gold Star Park throughout the year; Fourth of July Celebration, Christmas On The Coosa, and the Brown Bag Concerts are just a few.  Please check the Special Events Page for dates and times.
