Wetumpka Public Library's 2020 Summer Reading Program!
We are looking forward to offering interesting and engaging activities for our kids this summer. It will look a little different than years past, but we think you will have a lot of fun.
We will have Bingo, Quests, and a Scavenger Hunt among other things. Each week for 6 weeks, beginning June 9, we will offer a new task for you to complete. Children entering grades 1-8 will have the opportunity to participate in these endeavors, as well as reading to fill a Reading Log and qualify for prizes.
Reading logs and materials for each week's project will be available at the Library. You will have one week to complete each activity. There will be a box on our front porch. You can choose to pick up your materials from the box, or you can call us between the hours of 9-2, Mon - Sat, for us to have it ready for you. We are happy to provide curbside service; just let us know when you have pulled up out front and we can bring the materials to your car.
Every effort has been made to have a safe and accessible program available for the children. The box will be brought in every afternoon at 2:00 and sanitized, then placed outside the next morning. We will also wipe down the handles of the box throughout the day.The materials for the first week will be available onTuesday, June 9, 2020. Instructions for the activity will be attached. Registration will not be required this year.
Your participation will be marked by the materials that you turn in. Reading logs will be due by July 21, 2020. You are welcome to call the Library at 334-567-1308 if you have any questions. Please visit our website at www.wetumpkalibrary.com or find us on Facebook at Wetumpka Public Library for updates and information about our Library.
We hope that you will join us this Summer as we Imagine Our Story!
